Starts the clock again for 5 years. If they think they will win and win comfortably, hands the next pm their own mandate for 5 years, and also means the elections will be before and far enough after the COVID enquiry. What would the Tories have to gain from calling an election when they've got a huge majority? Surely if Johnson wanted to step down he could do so and just hand his majority on to Sunak or whoever is waiting in the wings.

Not this.
But which Tory MP has the hairiest fanny?
Today, on Twitter, Tory shitheel Darren Grimes performs as expected...
All the ex Tory PMs coming out against the government's cuts on foreign aid. Zombie Thatcher next

Boris didn’t believe the NHS would be overwhelmed and Covid didn’t matter as it was mainly over 80s dying.
It struck me yesterday what Boris’ exit strategy might be.
COVID goes out of control again, forcing another hard lockdown before the end of the year. Boris, now known to be staunchly anti-lockdown, resigns in ’protest’ leaving the mess in the hands of either Sunak or Gove.
I can totally see it happening.
