Yeah, I think it does have to be the Hot 100.Does it absolutely have to be top 40 in the Billboard Hot 100 or could it be top 40 in the other Billboard charts too?
Scarily, Iguana and Tisch’s real names are actually dmlaw and MrsLedin. Is your name dmlaw?
EVERY song has been number 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, whether or not it even has a BEAT
Did Statements not make the top10 in Sweden?Does it have to be TOP TEN in the European countries? A lot of the charts don’t work the same way as the fast paced U.K. chart - a top twenty in Sweden is a HIT
I’ve heard Happy Xmas (War Is Over) in a few pubs and clubs, in fairness.Despite her 75 number ones, I have never heard YOKO ONO in a club

I don’t think I knew that was a real songNot top 10 on that chart But Give Peace a Chance was a number one in 2008
13-year old Iguana was so excited that Lara Fabian got to number 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart in 2000 with I Will Love Again - omg she's made it in the US!! - and then I found out how much worth that chart had...
I have literally no idea how to check if my potential song charted anywhere
For the uk ones go to the official charts website. That’s got a search function for artist or song.I have literally no idea how to check if my potential song charted anywhere
Sadly, Indie's entry of 'Huckleberry Jam' was banned as it fell slightly short of the UK Top 40.I have entered law school.
Hope everyone's a massive fan of Doop.
Worryingly that has already crossed my mind this year already too. I think I’ve already decided too which is even worse.I'm already looking for my next ASFXMAS entry.
I agree. We can always have a separate ASFM for obscure charts!!Oh let's keep it to the mainstream charts. I'm sure most of our past entries have appeared on OBSCURE charts. The whole point is that we're using mainstream hit lists (the charts) as the source material.
I love that the brief is to choose a song which has enjoyed mainstream success and people are going out of their way to find the least mainstream, least successful songs they can.I agree. We can always have a separate ASFM for obscure charts!!
Only because we KNOW SOME QUEENS will vote them down for being too well known!
sexy spreadsheet chatI'm going to look at the master spreadsheet to try and work out which of my three might do best.
Yeah it’s not a UK chart hit, trying to see if it was on the billboard hot 100.For the uk ones go to the official charts website. That’s got a search function for artist or song.
Yeah, and I've also been quite surprised at what WASN'T a hit.Although I have a sackfull of contenders tbh, quite AGOG at what has hit the charts in the past.
There's a free choice round between now and ButterTart's Premium Best Worldwide Music Festival Gala Show (Title to be confirmed).None of the goth shit I have enjoyed over the last year or so is eligible. I will just have to hope I get a suitable country in Tartvision.
