It's just so embarrassing that the Tories have had TWO female Prime Ministers and Labour have never even had a female leader (apart from acting) and now they are going to pick YET ANOTHER MAN over four women.
Also - call me shallow - I think a strong name is fairly essential. That double barrel round the wrong way thing is truly awful and Nandy sounds a bit like Nando’s or Pandy as in Andy

QUITE!But surely it’s more important in these instances to choose someone with the convincing aura of a leader, rather than trying to redress a gender imbalance? I’m not seeing much of said aura in anyone apart from Keir. Obviously Emily (for example) is fabulous on the knowing looks and hauteur front but she doesn’t exude party leader AT ALL!
