Guys, I’m really aching to visit museums.
(They’ve actually opened some of them here)
I really want to visit Nationalmuseet now that they've refurbished it
The Courtald is my favourite underrated gallery!
It’s quite shit to be honest.
the museum or the renovation?
And then, on the other hand, there's a stack of printed paper with some circles on, which is just lazy and meaningless.
Part of the renovation meant that each floor or era having a certain wall colour. It kind of made it look a bit messy I found.
He couldn't even be arsed to give it a name?Don’t be hating on Untitled (Double Portait) you heathen.
See? This is good art.
I did wonder why that NICE YOUNG MAN asked me to sit on his “STACK” whilst he busied himself with a SHARPIE.
I didn’t mind as he’d paid for the full 45 minutes but I do recall having to restart several times as the originals were quite SMEARED.
It just looks cheap and cobbled together in ten minutes.
And then, on the other hand, there's a stack of printed paper with some circles on, which is just lazy and meaningless.
Hence the symbol of infinity? This is a rather lovely piece I have a lot of affection for.
Did you take a sheet? You can if you want to. What kind of artwork that physically engages the visitor can exist in perpetuity like this? It's so simple and so brilliant.
Of course, the art itself isn't the printed sheet, but the instructions behind its exhibition. Gonzalez-Torres created a piece of work anybody can own, for free, and to be recreated endlessly, long after his death. It's kind of perfect.
